About SoolTimes

SoolTimes is a magazine devoted to drinks. It first appeared online in November 2012 under the banner “a drinks paper that becomes a record.” We published steadily until March 2021, when we paused. After a long breath, we opened our doors again in July 2024.

We report on drinks from Korea and abroad — plainly, clearly and, when a story deserves it, in depth. We do not favour one category over another. We cover everything: Korean traditional liquors get a generous share of our pages, and we introduce drinks from countries other outlets rarely visit.

We cover the festivals and events held in Korea without missing one, and we travel abroad whenever we can. We also keep visiting the people who matter in this industry. And because SoolTimes rests on a deep archive, articles from many years ago are still here to be found.

The age of drinking simply to get drunk is long behind us. This is an age of drinking for its own worth — an age that has finally earned the words “drinking culture.”

We will keep bringing you as much as you need to know, no more and no less, with photographs and video chosen with care.
